Hi, I’m Makayla Simard
Founder of Budding Tree Healing
Welcome, I'm so glad you're here!
My journey began in western medicine as a traveling Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), with a focus in rehabilitation and hospice care. For about seven years, in this role, I had the honor of supporting the elderly during some of their most vulnerable and meaningful moments. That time deeply shaped my understanding of healing, dignity, and presence.
I've also worked as a preschool and kindergarten teacher, where I found joy in bringing mindfulness practices to young children, introducing them to meditation, Reiki, and yoga to help nurture calm, focus, and emotional balance.
Today, I run Budding Tree Healing and continue part-time work as a home healthcare aide for Veterans, blending my background in medical caregiving with holistic healing.
In 2017, I reached a turning point. I felt lost in both my career and personal direction. That’s when Reiki found me and everything changed. Reiki became more than a practice; it became a lifestyle. It awakened my purpose and lit the path forward.
Since 2018, I’ve been a Reiki Master and Teacher, offering in-person and distance sessions with a focus on inner child healing and shadow work. I’m passionate about teaching Reiki to others, both online and in person, so you, too, can tap into universal energy to heal yourself and support others.
By 2019, I expanded my offerings to include certifications in Meditation, and Hypnotherapy. These modalities have become sacred tools in my own spiritual practice and personal growth. I cherish the stillness they bring and the powerful connections they foster between our conscious selves and higher guidance.
In 2020, I added Reflexology to my services, and I’ve continued my education ever since, always exploring new ways to support holistic well-being.
As on 2024, I am in college at SNHU pursuing my BA in psychology, with a focus in sociology, and biology.
My work is rooted in compassion, connection, and the belief that true healing happens when we align with the energy of love.

During these years with High Vibe Connections, I recieved my Reiki I, II and Master, Teacher level certifications. I also received a certification for, Mediation Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, Akashic Records, Animal Reiki and Crystal Reiki.

In 2015, after graduating, I followed my passion of helping others.
I have worked with people of all ages, in many different settings. I love helping people feel better, and connect with thy selves.
I currently still work in health care.
My Philosophy
My mission is for everyone to be "touched" by the light and healing of this universal energy, by also teaching my students a better approach to their own health. I want to help my students reconnect with their potential, and their rhythm.
I want my students to take control of their own healing. I want them to understand how powerful their minds and bodies really are, and how each organ and symptom is part of a larger system. Healing chronic and intractable ailments takes a certain level of sensitivity, which I’ve honed in order to treat stubborn conditions with gentle methods.
Through a variety of alternative treatments and approaches, I unlock the potential of self-healing in each student, sometimes resulting in improvements from the very first session. Trust my hands, trust your ability to heal and allow yourself to feel better than you ever imagined possible.
